Right of withdrawal

Everyone who purchase an airline ticket with Spirit Airlines through non-traditional or remote methods (see Decree 1499 of 2014) may exercise the right of withdrawal within the next 5 business days from the date of purchase as long as the ticket for the flight purchased does not have a scheduled departure date within this time. In the event that a passenger exercises this right, Spirit Airlines will refund the full amount paid for the ticket, excluding from this refund only the value of the administrative fee and the fees, taxes or contributions that by law are not refundable. The refund will be made within 30 calendar days from the time the withdrawal is requested and processed.

Right to cancel a purchase

Everyone who purchases an airline ticket originating in Colombia may exercise the right to cancel a purchase by giving notice to the carrier or the travel agency with at least 24 hours in advance before the scheduled departure time of the flight. This request must be made by the ticket holder personally and in these cases the airlines must make the corresponding refund and are entitled to retain up to 10% of the total value of the ticket excluding taxes, fees and administrative fee. Please note that the right of withdrawal does not apply to tickets purchased under promotional fares.

Derecho de Retracto

Todas las personas que adquieran un pasaje aéreo con Spirit Airlines a través de métodos no tradicionales o a distancia (ver Decreto 1499 del 2014) pueden ejercer el derecho de retracto dentro de los 5 días hábiles siguientes desde la fecha de la compra siempre y cuando el tiquete del vuelo adquirido no tenga fecha programada de salida dentro de este tiempo. En caso tal de que algún pasajero ejerza dicho derecho, Spirit Airlines realizara el reingreso total del valor pagado por el tiquete, excluyendo de este rembolso únicamente el valor de la tarifa administrativa y las tasas, impuestos o contribuciones que por ley no sean reembolsables. La devolución del dinero se llevará a cabo en un plazo 30 días calendario, desde el momento en que se solicite el retracto de la compra y este sea procesado.

Derecho de Desistimiento

Todas las personas que adquieran un pasaje aéreo originado en Colombia pueden ejercer el derecho de desistimiento avisando a la compañía aérea o a la agencia de viajes con al menos 24 horas de antelación a la hora prevista de salida del vuelo. Esta solicitud debe ser realizada por el titular pasaje aéreo personalmente y en estos casos las aerolíneas deberán realizar el reembolso correspondiente, sin perjuicio de que se encuentran facultadas a retener hasta el 10% del valor total del tiquete, excluyendo impuestos, tasas y gastos administrativos. Favor tener presente que el derecho de desistimiento no aplica para tiquetes adquiridos bajo tarifas promocionales.
